Food Aquae Sulis offers a generous and healthy breakfast made with locally sourced ingredients, together with a selection of yoghurt's, cheeses, ham, fruit, teas, etc. Just a few minutes walk from Aquae Sulis you'll find this traditional 'local' free house pub on the river Avon offering a good menu and garden play area.
The Boathouse (Click Here) A charming riverside pub (chain operated) with spectacular location and views with garden and play area. Perfect spot for a preprandial! The Desh (Click Here) Our local Indian restaurant in Chelsea Road offers a delicious and very reasonably priced menu. It is not licensed but is happy for you to 'bring your own' which you can buy from Coopers supermarket opposite the restaurant.
Coopers Supermarket If you want to go out and buy a few nibbles (or a bottle to take to the Desh!) then this supermarket in Chelsea Road is open until 11pm. The Pizarella (Click Here) Serves up real pizza made by real Italians in charming Chelsea Road. Takeaway only, but we will prepare a table for you back at Aquae Sulis - either in the dining room or out in the garden in the summer.
Country Pubs (within 2 miles) There are several atmospheric country pubs serving excellent food: The Bathwayte Arms (Click Here) Close to Bath racecourse and an easy 5 minute drive from Aquae Sulis with a large car park.

A lovely walk from the Inn at Freshford across the fields will bring you to the Cross Guns. The setting is just magical, between the river and the canal about four miles outside Bath, in full countryside and selling Bath beers brewed on the doorstep as well as serving fine food.
